This year's Christmas Gift Campaign is starting early to ensure we can meet our commitment this year of providing every young cancer patient in hospital over Christmas with a special surprise gift. But the good news is, this year with thanks to support from One Community Foundation Match It Fund, your donation will have twice the impact as they will match any donation we receive #MatchIt
Due to the restrictions imposed as a result of COVID-19 and to make the provision of gifts as simple as possible for the 43 hospitals who will receive this special delivery, all the gifts must be included inside the one gift box this year instead of a number of separate parcels.
We know times are challenging for everybody, but even more so for the young patients, we support. Young people with cancer all too often feel lonely and isolated and the festive season can heighten those feelings and especially this Christmas when additional restrictions will be in place both in and out of hospitals. We need your support to help fulfil Santa's gift list this year and ensure young patients are reminded that they are cared for and in our thoughts.
Please make a donation for a gift (or gifts) for young cancer patients this Christmas. You can buy as many items as you wish so whatever you are able to donate you will be making a meaningful and important contribution.
Virtual Christmas Tree
In addition to requesting donations for our Christmas Gift Boxes for patients, we have for the second year created a Virtual Christmas Gift Tree and are asking you to help us decorate and light up the tree for young cancer patients this Christmas. You can hang a stocking, light a light, place a gift and for the first time this year, you can light a candle for somebody special or in memory of a loved one. If you would prefer to make a donation via our virtual Christmas Tree, please follow this link - https://visufund.com/the-lcyct-christmas-appeal-2020
Thank you so much for your support and the team would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas.
