This Christmas, The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust will buy and collect, lovingly wrap and deliver thousands of gifts to every young cancer patient that will be spending their Christmas in a hospital bed. We will deliver gifts for up to 500 young cancer patients in 43 hospitals throughout the UK and Ireland and we need your support to make this happen.

During our 2018 gift appeal, we received a message from a mother of a young cancer patient who did not want his gifts leaving at the hospital and was determined he would be home, if only for a while, on Christmas day.

“We just want to say thank you for all you do, after having to leave my son overnight on Christmas eve on a hospital ward, (albeit with his dad), so I could be at home for his younger brother and sister to try to give them some kind of normal Christmas morning.

We were overwhelmed by the support we received from the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust -
when my son woke up in hospital on Christmas morning he was so touched to receive a bag of gifts from your organisation it not only made being in hospital at Christmas time more bearable it also made it feel more special knowing that people were thinking about him and actually cared that he was away from family and friends at a time when he felt most isolated.
It cheered him up immensely so thank you again to yourselves and everyone involved.”

This is a reason why we need to ensure we can continue our appeal and send off our gifts carrying a message of love and strength to these young people, to let them know we are all thinking about them and sending them the courage to continue their battle against this dreadful disease.
