Emergency Donations to Survive

We need emergency donations to survive

The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust needs you to join the fight  and support us through the coronavirus crisis.

The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust is a small innovative charity making a big difference to the lives of young cancer patients throughout the UK and Ireland.  As a fundraising charity, we are now facing an extreme loss in income from our fundraising events.

At the start of 2020, we planned to refocus the second aim of the charity to concentrate on the mental wellbeing of young cancer patients, ensuring that they are being supported as a whole; body and mind.  We hope continue our funding for the University of Huddersfield’s life changing research that could see the end of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for some cancer.  We are deeply concerned about our Christmas Gift Appeal for 2020, as well as the many other projects we are funding – it is a time we ask for and need help, and we are asking if you will support us during this challenging time.

Sadly, the Coronavirus is putting our charity at great risk.

We need to continue making a vital difference in the fight against cancer but we at the same time, we are facing a big drop in our income. As our supporters are aware, the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust is a small charity with a national reach and we have limited financial reserves but we do have a fast-growth strategy. Our income this year is terrifyingly dependent on those who believe in our cause and funds are raised via events and generous donations. To balance our 2020 budget, we depend on thousands of pounds in income from events.

The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust does not and will not receive any of the Government funding which is being offered to small businesses and depends on events and fundraising to fund our work.  We may have to consider scaling back our projects, as well as the continuation of the charity over the coming months.

You can help us survive.   If you are able to, please make an emergency donation now and help us keep our work on track through the coronavirus health crisis. We really need your help.

If we can ask supporters to donate £1 a week or as much as they can afford  for 12 weeks this will help keep the charity surviving.
